After a very frustrating experience when I tried personally to protest taxes on a property I had bought, I was grateful that Veltman agreed to represent all three of my properties in the Tobin Hill area. They always paid for themselves in the taxes I saved, and in the reduced anxiety.

I provided all the information for the protest, but never got response. It seems they did nothing specific for my case. They saved me nothing, but charged me $250. They claimed they reduced the property value, but actually the taxable value is the same since I have the homestead exemption.

We inherited this consultant from the owner of our property almost 30 years ago when it was a cattle ranch and they have proven their worth. Our agent, Rhonda Wahne, has always been responsive and willing takes my calls even on questions which I would have had to pay dearly to have answered truthfully by the 'governmental entity.' When we transitioned to an Open Area (Wildlife Valuation) this company represented many of the individual owners with the Appraisal District with the professionalism we needed to win that battle. I recommend them to all the new neighbors.

I have been using this company for well over 5 years—maybe closer to 10—and probably will continue for years to come. They have consistently been successful contesting my residential appraisals in both Kendall and Bexar counties, lowering valuations and saving me a good bit of cash. I admire people who can do this for themselves, but I have neither the time nor expertise. It's a small amount of money spent every year, but the compounded savings is sizable. For me it's a no brainer to use Veltman.

LAZY! Hired to do both my residential and commercial properties. Got both lowered, but it was insignificant...to the point that my savings was within $30 of their fees. Others in my neighborhood did their own and saved SIGNIFICANLTY more, as in SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS. I know that these are the big boys in San Antoni, but that seems to be the issue. They set aside a day and knock out a stack of appeals. I paid for an appraisal for a refinance after the appeal date and it came in $15,000 lower than what AVP got me.

Terrible job on lowering property taxes .
On a commercial building and my home they saved me $125 but charged me $150 for the services .
Don’t use these consultants . I fought the property taxes and lowered them way way way more myself .
