Extrem langsame Abfertigung der Kunden! Der Laden ist nicht besonders einladend und recht schmutzig. Die Fahrzeuge sind auch oft nicht sauber bei der Übergabe. Preise sind aber gut. Muss man dann selbst entscheiden was ihm wichtig ist.....

Naja einmal Budget und nie wieder. Komme nach einem langen internationalen Flug endlich am mietwagenzentrum an und bekomme einen Jetta dessen sitze ganze Geschichten erzählen können! Nicht wirklich lecker da rein zu sitzen!

We were very satisfied with our rental and checking in and out. I was a little surprised that nobody walked around the car with me to check for damage before leaving the lot. I did take pictures all around the car before I left the lot. Very easy to drop off and to catch a shuttle back to the airport.

Its a fair Budget location. Its DTW, so it can get busy at times. My recent experience in January 2025 had some pros and cons. Pro was getting the car. Regular airport shuttle with great drivers. Efficient and professional staff, speedy process, and clean car, a big plus. Car was great, comfortable and fuel efficient.

Return was not as good. No return attendant, maybe because it was so cold (18 degrees F) outside. As such, had to leave car with keys inside and trust the process. Well, usually a check-in is an instantaneous text and email when they move it. Not this time. They didn't actually check the car In until I called twice, 30 minutes per call wait time, and then emailed pictures of the car in the DTW return line. I wanted proof of return to avoid added rental costs. Will likely still rent with them, and will always take photos if I have to leave car with no attendant.

My worst car rental experience was with Budget Car Rental in Detroit, Michigan. The line was incredibly long, with only two employees checking people in. Despite there being two managers on duty, including one named Malcolm, neither was anywhere to be found. The workers tried calling both managers, but neither answered. There were 162 customers waiting in line, and the managers didn’t even bother to help. It was 8:15 PM on Friday night, August 30, 2024, and we had already been waiting for almost an hour, still stuck at the end of the line. We ended up leaving and taking an Uber instead. I would strongly recommend avoiding Budget Car Rental at 287 Lucas Dr, Detroit, MI

Our flight arrived at 5 pm. The shuttle to Budget was convenient and quick. However, it’s now 7:20 pm, and we are still in line waiting to be helped. I would definitely try another rental agency. There is really no excuse.

Adding to previous comments: it’s now 7:47 pm, and still no car and large wait. There are only 3 people helping, and I feel for them. There should be at least 5. On the plus side, people waiting are in good spirits.

Final update: It’s 8:10 pm. We are at the car. An almost 3 hour wait. The management needs to hire more staff.
