0/10 Wouldn’t recommend! If I could give them 0 stars I would!! These people charged me a “smoking fee” days after refunding me my full deposit, although I never smoked in the vehicle. I had children occupying the vehicle as well the entire time and would never smoke in car with children. They will do exactly what the name of Business is take ADVANTAGE!! Perfect name for this scheming company. Dont rent from them!! They will take advantage of you especially if you don’t live in FL state because they know you cant confront them face to face!! They waited until I got back home days later to charge me a fraudulent fee.

Terrible terrible terrible . There are so many hidden fees. My reservation was suppose to be 65 dollars after all the fees they added I ended up paying over 400 dollars smh. To even rent the car they charged about 765 bucks to my DEBIT CARD . I hope they hurry up and give me my refund of the hold they have on my car. They make you use there car insurance and like someone said it's another 80 dollar fee for a toll pass or 45 plus processing fee for EACH TOLL. They robbing people blind. The only reason I got it was because we were having trouble at other rental spots and I was over it and just wanted to drive to my resort. And the female staff is RUDE!! The men were helping but still added multiple charges to my card. Never again! !!

The worst car rental place you will ever experience!! Their name should be changed to “Take an Advantage of Your time and money” instead of Advantage Rent a Car. So many undisclosed fees until you get there and I’m still trying to get them to fix a billing mistake that they made on their end for OVER a month and I’ve been over 13 phone calls. So if you want the worst customer experience of your life and pay for WAY overpriced expensive, this is the company for you!!

Overcharged me $100. They added the collision waiver and said it was mandatory even tho i declined it.. They email the contract, so couldn't see til later - it said on the contract it isn't mandatory. I had my State Farm insurance card and info with me even. Car was dirty and seats stained. Picture showed a Jeep wagoneer and they did a bait and switch to a small compact Hyundai wagon.

EXTORTION--BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES!! I have been renting cars for 40 years and have never witnessed a company treat their customers with disrespect and unprofessionalism. Every customer at the counter was angry because they were forced to purchase a ($575) insurance package if they didn't have a copy of their insurance policy. It was never related at anytime insurance documentation was required! Lastly, we were forced to pay ($65) in advance for tolls otherwise the company would charge a $45 processing fees for every toll used - THAT'S EXTORTION!!

Negative stars. Worst rental car experience I have ever had. I’m honestly shocked that AMEX is contracted with these people.
Went to pick up my rental car & again like everyone said over $100 in extra fees they had added on. I asked about the fees and got ridiculous attitude from the customer service clerk, Gerlena (or whatever her name was.. if that’s even her real name. She sounded Eastern European of some sort). I told her nowhere was I told about the extra fees & she said she could show me- she never did.
I asked her to update the reservation into my name since it was booked under my card but not my name & they wanted to add an additional $26/day to add me as a driver instead of just changing the reservation.
After I got upset over being confused about it & just gave up & handed her my card she proceeded to charge me and as I was talking to my partner about how frustrating it was. Not even to her, she claimed she cancelled the reservation and it would be refunded back to my card. She REFUSED to process my rental or give me a car even though she already CHARGED ME FOR IT. There was no manager to speak to because it was so early. She said “You can take the bus since you’re disrespecting me.” I wasn’t even talking to her? On what authority does the sales clerk have to refuse service to someone who wasn’t even doing anything?
Fast forward I look at my credit card statement and the charge posted. I had to Uber to my destination.. I didn’t even receive a rental car nor did I receive any sort of paperwork showing the “cancellation”.
I have since contacted about a refund and haven’t heard back.. Nothing. I didn’t get a rental car.. Yet I was charged. This place is awful

Negative stars. We rent a car, get a few miles down the highway and here a loud scraping. We pull over, and a flimsy, cardboard like cover under the front bumper had come loose. It looked like it was taped before, so we taped it again and went on our way. They refused to acknowledge the damage was already there and billed us for almost $700...and we bought the extra insurance for car damage. They claimed it doesn't cover it. Now it is on our credit report and we have to fight them to get it off. Absolute scam.

I would like to take an opportunity to provide an excellent customer service review at Advantage Rental Car - Orlando for Ms. Luna, Manager, there are several key principles and practices that show showed she cared and practices that were implemented to ensure we received the best customer service experience possible.

After a delayed flight and several over challenges within the day we arrived after midnight to pick up our rental that was schedule for 6pm. Exhausted with 3 children Luna greeted us in a warm and welcome way with a smile that lighted up the night.
Her attitude and accent started off a positive first impression. Luna was polite, approachable, and helpful at all times, although our rental was cancelled because of our delayed arrival. Luna was efficient at streamling the process and ensuring we were able to get a rental while minimize waiting times. Out paperwork was organized and the new rental agreement was explained clearly. Did I mention, she did all of this at midnight while we were hauling around three exhausted children. By prioritizing customer satisfaction and focusing on core principles, Luna created more than just a positive and memorable experience for Advantage Rental Car customers, but lifetime customers. We are forever grateful to meet her and have this amazing experience.
