Joe is incredible. His knowledge is unbeatable and combine that with his attention to detail and there's no reason to go anywhere else for a home inspection. I did one 10 years ago that ended up with us not buying the house due to what Joe found. We were very thankful for that. He just did another for me last week and it's been super helpful again. It was not easy to find an independent inspecting firm that performed comprehensive home energy audits. Most firms are insulation of other home services companies that inspect as a side business or, I suspect, in order to sell their services. Insight Property Services is exactly that independent firm I was seeking, and I was not disappointed. The real proof of their value was in the remediations recommended and the general agreement with those recommendations by the firms I sought out to do those remediations. Every contractor that reviewed Insight's report was impressed with the thoroughness and accuracy of the work. Recommended without reservation.

I've used Joe and Insight for several inspections now and I won't use anyone else. Joe Konopacki is incredibly thorough but very clearly outlines the major issues as compared with the minor stuff. Extremely personable and professional, by far the best inspector I've had.

Having a whole home review was the best money ever spent! It had provided us with a road map about where and how to spend our money to fix problems in the house along with how to prioritize them. We had Zach of Insight Property come out to do an inspection during our home buying process in late Feb of 2022. At the time, we felt he had done a good job, having pointed out a variety of things that we had the previous owner then repair. That said, our opinion of the experience has drastically changed in the 1.5 years of ownership. We've had to invest in multiple costly repairs that all should have been picked out during our inspection. This includes things like improperly installed gutters, the wrong siding and window/door framing having been used, and no flashing having been installed. In all of these situations, the contractors we've had assess the properly all said this should have been identified during the inspection as they were very clear and obvious issues. Had we known all this, it would have significantly changed our opinion of the house prior to purchasing. As someone looking to purchase a home again in the future, I will not be using Insight and I'd absolutely consider a second opinion if you decide.

Joe was extremely detailed in inspecting 2 homes, one that I was potentially buying and another that i did end up buying. He was thorough in his job and explained everything to me in detail and communicated to me in a frank and concise manner. Due to his first inspection it gave me the necessary information to avoid buying a home that had many more problems than it showed. With his second inspection he gave me the knowledge that the second home was the one to buy. I would definitively recommend him as he knows what he's doing and does his job well.
